Rule 196
The Inspector General of Police may issue orders and directions

(1) The Inspector General of Police may issue necessary action orders or instructions in the following matters subject to the Act and these regulations. Important work orders or instructions issued in this way should be sent to the Ministry:-
(a) Subjects of effective supervision, operation and control of the police organization (b) Making the service timely and people-oriented,
(c) subject to professional and service specialization of the police,
(d) Job description and accountability of employees,
(e) The matter of maintaining coordination in the work of subordinate offices,
(f) Matters related to the bringing of imprisonment and tahweel,
(g) morale, health and fitness and discipline and conduct of police personnel (h) Subjects related to clothing, ration and other facilities,
(i) Matters related to appropriate distribution, monitoring and maintenance of resources (j) The matter of clarifying and detailing the matters mentioned in this regulation (k) Matters relating to the management of police camps, barracks and offices (l) Other important matters.
(2) The Inspector General of Police may refer the matter to the Policy Making Committee constituted under Rule 193 as necessary before issuing an action order or instruction on the matter under sub-rule (1) for discussion.
